How much does it cost to rent a Wahoo KICKR?
The Wahoo KICKR is available from R450 per month. Rental is month-to-month, so you can train without committing to buying a trainer upfront.
Is the rental month-to-month?
Yes. Rentals are offered on a month-to-month basis. There is no annual contract, giving you the flexibility to keep the KICKR for as long as you need it.
What is included in the R450 monthly rental?
Your rental includes the Wahoo KICKR, delivery and collection within Johannesburg, fitting/setup, and support when you need help getting your trainer running correctly.
Which bikes are compatible with the Wahoo KICKR?
The KICKR works with most common road and indoor-training bikes. We’ll confirm your bike and drivetrain details before fitting to make sure the correct setup is provided.
Which cassette options can I choose?
You can choose the cassette that matches your bike, including 10-speed, 11-speed or 12-speed options. The correct setup will be confirmed before delivery.
Can I use a Zwift Cog instead of a cassette?
Yes. A Zwift Cog is available as an alternative for R50 extra per month. Standard cassette options are included at no additional monthly cost.
Can I use Zwift or other indoor cycling platforms?
Yes. The KICKR can be used with platforms such as Zwift, TrainerRoad and Rouvy. You’ll use your own account and subscription for these services.
Where do you deliver?
We currently offer delivery and collection within Johannesburg. Delivery arrangements and availability will be confirmed based on your address.
Is delivery and fitting included?
Yes. Delivery and fitting within the Johannesburg service area are included with the rental. We’ll help get the trainer set up correctly so you can start riding.
What do I need to provide before my KICKR is delivered?
Before delivery, you’ll need to provide the required customer information, including a copy/photo of your ID and proof of address. These details are used as part of the rental verification process.
Is there a refundable deposit?
A refundable deposit may be required as part of the rental. The amount and applicable conditions will be confirmed before your rental begins.
Is a credit card hold or authorisation required?
A card authorisation or security hold may be required to cover the equipment during the rental period. The exact process will be confirmed as part of your rental agreement.
What happens if I want to stop renting?
You can end your month-to-month rental by giving the required notice. The KICKR will then be arranged for collection and the rental will end according to the agreed rental terms.
What happens if something goes wrong with the KICKR?
If you experience a problem with the trainer, contact us first. We can help with troubleshooting, firmware, calibration and other common setup issues.
What if the equipment is damaged?
The KICKR must be returned in the condition in which it was supplied, allowing for normal use. Damage caused by misuse, negligence or improper handling may be chargeable under the rental terms.
Do I need my own Zwift or TrainerRoad account?
Yes. The rental provides the KICKR hardware. Any third-party training platform, such as Zwift, TrainerRoad or Rouvy, requires your own account and subscription where applicable.
